The corporate environment has changed significantly since 1994, when Simon Mountford Communications was established.  Then, the world-wide web was in its infancy and hardly anyone had email.  Businesses are now generally leaner and more media savvy.

SMC has changed too.  In particular, we recognise that clients do not want to pay for services that they do not need.  Nor do they want to pay big agency fees , when their account is managed by a relatively inexperienced executive.

At SMC, you buy the unrivalled experience and contacts of communications and PR expert Simon Mountford.   However we recognise that, from time-to-time, clients also need advice on other disciplines such as marketing strategy, advertising and direct mail.  So we also operate as a virtual agency – primarily in association with Watershed Consulting.  By linking up with other experienced independent professionals  with complementary skills, such as Douglas Adamson of Watershed, we offer clients a flexible, value-for-money service that delivers the results they require.  We believe that’s a smart way to do business.
